Why is "X" game not covered here? Why is the selection so limited?

Currently, the group's founder also publishes the vast majority of reviews on the page. While he has thousands of games in his various PC libraries, he does not always have the time or interest to review every type of game out there—often skewing toward games that are more in his wheelhouse. If you feel like a certain game or genre is underrepresented here, you're always welcome to contribute by using our review submission form or otherwise making your voice heard in the community group.

Why are the technical descriptions like "fills screen" so vague sometimes?

The Steam Curator system sets a hard limit of 200 characters on each review, severely capping the amount of information we can include per game. It's also not possible to embed media in reviews, leaving us to only provide shorthand descriptions for 4:3 support. We could spend the entirety of the 200 characters on technical details, but we also feel that there is value in including relevant non-4:3 related information to help provide a general impression of the game. If a review simply states "fills screen in 4:3", that should always mean there are no other relevant display considerations, the UI scales well, there are no visual bugs, et cetera. This is hopefully one of the information gaps that can be filled via an external web presence, though more work is required to hammer this out.

What is the point of including so many Informational or non-4:3 friendly games?

The Curator should be seen as a comprehensive resource; many popular games or games that might appear to support 4:3 but do not for various reasons are featured as Informational on the Curator for just that reason. Some people may be interested to learn which games are not worth wasting time on when setting up a 4:3 Steam game collection and we hope those people appreciate these additions. If you don't want to see these, you can click the "Recommended" button on the left side of the Curator page to filter them out.

How do I filter your list down to games I already own?

While the Steam client itself does not appear to support this functionality, it's actually possible to accomplish this by logging into the Steam Store in a web browser and installing the Augmented Steam browser plugin. If configured properly, games in your library will be highlighted in green and games in your wishlist will be highlighted in blue.
